A ship made from iron floats whereas an iron needle sinks in water. Why?

iron needle is compact and it has a density of more than 1g/cm3 which makes it sink.an iron ship is mostly hollow from inside so it has a large volume and less density which makes it float.

This is because Iron nail displaces less water as compared to Iron Ship.
Also.. because a ship has enough space so. air is trapped inside the ship.
So in this case . ship floats nd Iron nail Sinks.
