constant accleration = 36km/hr(a)

we know that

v² = u² + 2as

s = distance

⇒s= v²-u²÷ 2a

s=18²-12²÷2×36

s= 324-144÷72

s=180÷72=10÷4 [divide both by 18]

s=2.5km
