A ship sends a burst of ultrasound toward the seabed from its sonar apparatus and receives an echo after 4 s. It then repeats this after some time ,but this time over a place where a shipwreck is present on the seabed. The echo takes 3.75 s to reach them. How tall is the shipwreck?(speed of sound in water =1450 m/s)

Time=2sec

At first dist=2×1450=2900m

Second

Time=3.75/2

Dist=3.75/2×1450=2718.75m

Height of ship wreck=2900-2718.75=181.25m

Answer: 181.25 m

Time : 2

First distance : 2× 1450= 2900m/s

Time : 3.75/2×1450 = 2718.75 M

Height:

Shipwreck= 2900 - 2718.75 = 181.25 M
