The total distance covered by U.S is 2 times distance of seabed from the ship{2D}.

S=Vt
2D=Vt
D=Vt/2

D==>>>>>>>>>>>>> \frac{1531x3.42}{2}= 2618 meters

Hello!!
As speed =Distance/Time

Distance=Speed X Time

So Distance=1531 X 3.42
Distance =5236.02 m/s

And Distance in Kilometre/hour= 18/5 X 5236.02
=18849.672 km/hr

Hope It will Help You!!
