A ship sends ultrasonic waves that return from the sea bed and is detected after 2.80seconds. if the speed of the ultrasound through sea water is 1531 m/s .what is the distance of the seabed from the ship?

that means the sound travel 2 times a distance.

so time travel for 1 time = 2.8/2

= 1.4 sec....

speed is 1531 m/s

speed = d/t

1531 = d/1.4

d = 1531 × 1.4

d = 2,143.4 m

d= 2,143m (approx)
