Time taken to reach the bottom = t = 0.6/2 = 0.3 seconds

Speed of sound in water = s = 1450m/s

Using S = D/t                    (Where D = Distance)

D = St

D = 1450*0.3

D = 435m

Therefore, the water 435m deep beneath the ship.
