Answer:

l = 10cm

b = 8cm

h = 12cm

T.S.A

= 2(lb+bh+hl)

= 2(10×8 + 8×12 + 12×10)

= 2(80+96+120)

= 2(296)

= 592 cm^2

Remaining surface area

= 2h(l+b) + l×b

= 2×12(10+8) + 10×8

= 24(18) + 80

= 432 + 80

= 512cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: length = 10 cm

width = 8 cm

height = 12cm

Total surface area = 2( l×b + b×h + h×l )

= 2 ( 10×8 + 8×12 + 12×10 )

= 2 ( 80 + 96 + 120 )

= 2 × 296

= 592 cm square unit

Surface area of remaining box = total surface area - area of top of the shoe box

= 592 cm. sq unit - l×b

= 592 cm. sq unit - (10×8) cm sq unit

= 592 cm. sq unit - 80 cm sq unit

= 512 592 cm. sq unit
