A shop has 500 shirts, out of which 15 are defective. What percentage of shirts are defective?




ans :- Total no. of shirts in shop = 500 shirts.
no. of defective shirts = 15 shirts


percentage =

 \frac{15}{500}  \times 100
= 3%




:. So, the percentage of defective shirts are 3%​

Given :-

To find :-

  • The percentage of the detective shirt.

Solution :-

Total no of shirts in the shop = 500

Toral no of detective shirt = 15

Percentage of detective shirt :-

= 15/500 × 100

= 15/5

= 3%

Therefore, the percentage of detective shirts is 3%
