Answer:

He should sell for 73.2 rupees per/kg

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the ratio be 7x and 3x

And let the sum of their weight be 1000 g(1 kg)

7x+3x=1000

10x=1000

x=1000/10=100 g

weight of 1st rice in mixture= 7x= 700 g

weight of 2nd rice in mixture= 3x= 300 g

Let the prices of both the rice be for 1000 g(1 kg).

So,

Cost of 1st rice for 1000 g=70

Cost of 1st rice for 1 g=70/1000

Cost of 1st rice for 700 g= 70/1000*700 =49

Cost of 2nd rice for 1000 g=40

Cost of 2nd rice for 1 g=40/1000

Cost of 2nd rice for 300 g= 40/1000*300 =12

Total Cost of 1000 g of mixture= 49+12 =61

Profit=61*20/100 =12.2

SP = 61+12.2=73.2
