Step-by-step explanation:

sp= cp+ profit

total cp= cp+ transportation charge

let the cp be X

total cp = X + 715

45,570 = (X+ 715)+(24/100)×(X+715)

solving this equation we get

45,570= (124/100) × (X+715)

36,750=(X+715)

X= Rs 36,035 is cost price of TV set

Given :

  • Selling price of TV = Rs. 45570
  • Gain = 24%

To find :

  • Cost price

Solution :

\sf{CP = \dfrac{SP}{100 + gain\%}\times 100}

= \sf{CP = \dfrac{45570}{100+24}\times 100}=> CP= Rs.36750

Hence, The cost price of the TV is Rs. 36750.
