Answer:

875

Step-by-step explanation:

let the original price be x

630=x - (10/100)*x

630=x- (1/10)x

630=(9/10)*x

630*10/9=x

700=x

now we find the profit

profit is 25% so we find 25% of x

700*(25/100)

=175

it is only profit but we have to find the cost so,which is equals to cost price+profit

=700+175

= 875

Solution :

\underline{\bf{Given\::}}}

A shopkeeper sold a watch for Rs.630 after giving a discount of 10% on it's marked price. If he had not allowed any discount. & profit make 25%.

\underline{\bf{Explanation\::}}}

\underbrace{\bf{1^{st}\:Case\::}}}

Using formula of the Selling price to get M.P;

\boxed{\bf{S.P.=M.P\times \bigg(\frac{100-Discount }{100} \bigg)\%}}}

A/q

\mapsto\sf{S.P.=MP  \bigg(\dfrac{100-D}{100} \bigg)\%}\\\\\\\mapsto\sf{630 = MP \bigg(\dfrac{100-10}{100} \bigg)\%}\\\\\\\mapsto\sf{630 = MP \times \cancel{ \dfrac{90}{100}} }\\\\\\\mapsto\sf{630=\dfrac{9MP}{10} }\\\\\mapsto\sf{630 \times 10  = 9MP}\\\\\mapsto\sf{6300=9MP}\\\\\mapsto\sf{MP=\cancel{6300/9}}\\\\\mapsto\bf{MP=Rs.700}

\underbrace{\bf{2^{nd}\:Case\::}}}

Using formula of the Marked price to get C.P;

\boxed{\bf{M.P.=\bigg[\frac{100+profit\%}{100-Discount\% } \times C.P.\bigg]}}}

\mapsto\sf{700=\bigg[\dfrac{100+25}{100-10} \times C.P\bigg]}\\\\\mapsto\sf{700=\bigg[\dfrac{125}{90} \times C.P.\bigg]}\\\\\mapsto\sf{700=\dfrac{125CP}{90} }\\\\\mapsto\sf{700\times 90 = 125CP}\\\\\mapsto\sf{63000=125CP}\\\\\mapsto\sf{CP=\cancel{63000/125}}\\\\\mapsto\bf{CP = Rs.504}

Thus;

The cost price of the watch will be Rs.504 .
