A shop keeper sold two laptops for rupees 36,000 each. On one laptop he gained 20% and on the other he lost 28%. Find his total profit or loss percentage.

Please help me out with this I have to submit it in 3 hours.

Selling price of two laptops = 36000 + 36000 = 72000.

Gain = 20% and Loss = 28%.

Cost price of two laptops:

=> [(100 * 36000)/120] + [(100 * 36000)/72]

=> 30000 + 50000

=> 80000

Since C.P > S.P.So

Loss = 80000 - 72000 = 8000

Loss% = (Loss/CP) * 100

           = (8000/80000) * 100

           = 10%

Hence, loss percentage is 10%
