Answer:

Number of Purse sold in the week is 12.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Profit earn on a footwear = Rs. 280

Loss on purse = Rs. 165

Over all loss of the week = Rs. 300

Number of pairs of footwear sold in week = 6

To find: Number of purse sold in week.

Lets take profit as positive integer and loss as negative integer.

let x be the number of purse sold in week is x

According tot the Question,

280 × 6 + (-165) × x = -300

1680 - 165x = -300

-165x = -300 - 1680

-165x = -1980

x = -1980/-165

x = 12

Therefore, Number of Purse sold in the week is 12.
