Step-by-step explanation:

The easiest way to view ratio that works for me is this:

Instead of seeing 5:2

I see      2            freezers

          -----   =  -------------

            5            cookers

in other words, there are 5 cookers for every 2 freezers

When you write it this way you can know to write your equation as such

            2            freezers               140 - cooker

          -----   =  ------------- =     ------------------

            5            cookers                  cooker

=> cooker = 100

Freezer = 140 -100 = 40

40/100 = 4/10 = 2/5
