Let the marked price of the shirt = 'x'.

Given he still makes a profit of 20%. He gains 225 over the sale of one shirt.

=>  So, cost price = (225/20) * 100

                            = (22500/20)

                            = 1125.

Then, Sales price = 1125 + 225

                             = 1350.

Given that he allows a discount of 25% on a marked price.

= > 25% of x

So, Sales price = (100 - 25)% = 75% of x.

But We got sales price = 1350.

= > 1350 = 75% of x

= > (1350) = (75/100) * x

= > 1350 = (75x/100)

= > 1350 * 100 = 75x

= > 135000/75 = x

= > x = 1800.

Therefore, the marked price of the shirt = 1800.

Hope this helps!
