A shopkeeper allows a discount of 25%on his goods and sells it at a profit
of 25%. What is the cost price of the goods, If the marked price is Rs 3000?

MP is always expressed as % of CP

Discount is always offered on MP

SP = MP - Discount

Profit = SP - CP

Given MP = 3000

=> Discount = 25% = 750

=> SP = 2250

=> CP = SP/125% = 2250/125 x 100 = 1800
