SP=3000-25/100*3000
=3000-750
=Rs.2250
let CP be x
x+gain=2250
x+25/100x=2250
5/4x=2250
x=2250*4/5=450*4=1800
hence,the CP is Rs.1800
hope it helps

cp=100/(100+gains) ✖ sp

cp=100/(100+25) ✖ 3000

=100/125=2400

25% discount means, for a MP of 100, SP is 75.

Now when cp is 75 is 100

when cp 1 rupees, MP is 100/75

when cp is 2400, MP is 100/75 ✖ 3000

=400 rupees

Hope it helps you!
