Gɪᴠᴇɴ :-

  • Marked Price of Article = Rs.1200 .
  • 2 Discounts Given = 50% & 50% .

Tᴏ Fɪɴᴅ :-

  • Selling Price of Article ?

Fᴏʀᴍᴜʟᴀ ᴜsᴇᴅ :-

  • SP = MP * {(100 - D1%)/100} * {(100 - D2%)/100} , where D1 & D2 are Both Discounts.

Sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

we Have :-

MP = Rs.1200

→ D1 = 50%

→ D2 = 50% .

Putting values in Formula now we get :-

SP = 1200 * {(100 - 50)/100} * {(100 - 50)/100}

→ SP = 1200 * (50/100) * (50/100)

→ SP = 1200 * (1/2) * (1/2)

→ SP = 1200 * (1/4)

→ SP = (300*4) * (1/4)

→ SP = Rs.300 (Ans.)

Hence, The selling Price of The Article was Rs.300.
