of another kind of tea bought at 48 per
kg. He made a profit of 10% by selling the
total quantity of the blended tea at 1595.
What was the quantity of tea bought by

Let, he bought x kg of sugar at 49/kg

Therefore, he bought 2x kg of sugar at 48/kg

Total cost for (x+2x) = 3x kg of sugar bought is

= x kg*49/kg + 2x kg*48/kg = 145x

At 10% profit, selling price of this 3x kg sugar will be = 145x*(1+10%) = 159.5x

According to question, 159.5x = 1595

or x = 10 or 3x = 30

Therefore, he bought 30 kg of sugar.
