Shopkeeper bought 12 toffees for a rupee.

20% gain on cost means 20%of 1 rupee=Rs 1.20

So in order to gain 20% the number of toffees that the shopkeeper need to sell is 12/1.20=10pcs

The shopkeeper need to sell 10 toffees to gain 20%.
