Given:-

  • Shopkeeper bought 150 handicrafts at the rate of 5000 each
  • He sold 100 handicrafts at the rate of 5500 each and 50 handicrafts at the rate of 4000 each.

To Find:

  • Profit or loss percentage of shopkeeper?

Solution:

Finding Total CP :

Total CP of handicrafts = Number of item × Rate

= 150 × 5000

= 750000

Therefore, Total CP of handicrafts = 750000 (i)

Finding Total SP:

Total SP = SP of first 100 items + SP of another 50 items

= (100×5500)+(50×4000)

= 550000+200000

= 750000

Therefore, Total SP of handicrafts = 750000 (ii)

Comparing eq.(i) and eq.(ii), we can see that both are same i.e both (CP and SP of handicrafts) are same.

That means there is no any gain nor any loss .

Hence,

  • Profit/loss % = 0
