A shopkeeper bought 20 dozen pencils at ₹15 per dozen. He sold
hundred of them at the rate of ₹6 for 4 and sold the remaining at 1for
₹2 .Find his gain or loss percent.

1 Dozen pencil = $15

20 Dozen pencil = 15 × 20

240 pencil = $300 CP: 240 pencil = $ 300

SP1: for 100 pencil,

4 pencil = $6

1 pencil = (6-4) 100 pencil = 100 × (6÷4) = $150

SP2 remaining pencil = 140

1 pencil = $2

140 pencil = $280

Total SP = 150+280=430
