. A shopkeeper bought 250 tube lights from a wholeseller at Rs 30 each. However 15 of them are defective & were not sold. What should be selling price of each of the remaining tube lights so that he gains 10% on the whole.

you bought 250 tubes, each price 30

you bought it by (250×30)=7500/-

15 are defused. you have now (250-15)=235.

you have to gain 10% on 7500 /-

so, 7500×(110/100)= 825. that is your profit.

now you have to earn 7500+ 825= 8325/- on 235 tubes.

235 tubes RS is 8325.
