A shopkeeper bought 30 cricket balls at the rate of Rs 40 per ball. He sold 20 balls at the rate of Rs 50 per balls. At what rate should he sell the remaining balls to have a profit of 40% in the whole transaction?

Answer:

He bought ball. rupees=30×40=1200

He sold 20 ball =20×50=1000

Profit = 1200-1000=200

He got 200 rupees on solding 20 balls

profit%=40/1000×100

= 4%

It means he sold the balls of 54 rupees each ball
