A shopkeeper bought 30 dozen of banana at Rs 12 for 12 bananas. Out of them, 5 dozens were rotten and 2.5 dozens were lost. If he sells the remaining bananas at Rs 15 per dozen, what is his profit or loss per cent ?

No.of bananas he sold= 5+2.5-12

  • =12-7.5
  • =4.5
  • =4.5×15
  • =67.5

hence ,money he got by selling bananas = ₹67.5

now no.of bananas in los.=5+2.5

  • =7.5
  • =7.5×15
  • =112.5
  • =67.5/112.5×100%
  • =0.6%

hence he was in loss of 0.6%
