he has to sell the remaining balls at 100rs per ball to gain 40% in the whole transaction
CP of 40 balls = 40x50 = 2000rs
30 balls are sold at 60 per ball = 30x60= 1800
To make 40% profit he has to sell them at 2000(140/100) =2800rs
Since already profit 1800 rs is made, remaining 1000 rs should be made on remaining 10 balls,
So each ball SP should be 1000/10 = 100rs each
CP of 40 balls = 40x50 = 2000rs
30 balls are sold at 60 per ball = 30x60= 1800
To make 40% profit he has to sell them at 2000(140/100) =2800rs
Since already profit 1800 rs is made, remaining 1000 rs should be made on remaining 10 balls,
So each ball SP should be 1000/10 = 100rs each

Answer:
100
Step-by-step explanation:
CP of 1 ball - ₹50
CP of 40 balls - 40×50
- ₹2000
SP of 30 ball - 60×30
- ₹1800
CP of 30 ball - 30×50
- ₹1500
Profit on 30 balls - 1800 -1500
- ₹300
profit% - 40% of CP
- 40/100 × 2000
- ₹800
Profit on 10 balls - 800-300
- ₹500
CP of 10 balls - 10×50
- 500
SP = 500+500
=1000
SP of 1 ball - 1000/10
- ₹ 100 per ball
