A shopkeeper bought 40 cricket balls at the rate of Rs. 50 per ball. He sold 30 balls at the rate of Rs. 60 per ball. At what rate per ball should he sell the remaining balls to gain 40% in the whole transaction ?

HEYAA!!!

He has to sell the remaining balls at 100rs per ball to gain 40%  in the whole transaction


CP of 40 balls = 40x50 = 2000rs


30 balls are sold at 60 per ball = 30x60= 1800


To make 40% profit he has to sell them at 2000(140/100) =2800rs


Since already profit 1800 rs is made, remaining 1000 rs should be made on remaining 10 balls,

 So each ball SP should be 1000/10 = 100rs each
