If he wants 10% overall gain then he should get 4400 by selling 80 chairs
He has sold 20 chairs at 5% profit
Price of 20 chairs =20×50= 1000
He has gained 5% on this
That means he has got 1050
To get 4400 he has to get 4400-1050= 3350 by selling remaining 60 chairs of cost price 50×60=3000
So on 3000 he has to get 3350-3000= 350 profit
% profit=(350/3000)×100=35/3%=12%(approximately)
So to get overall 10% profit he has to sell the remaining 60 chairs in 12% profit
