We have total cost of sugar bought at Rs 13.5 = Price per kg × Quantity

⇒ Rs 13.5 × 80

⇒ Rs 1080

Total price of sugar bought at RS 16 per kg = Rs 16 × 120 = Rs 1920

Total cost = RS 1080 + Rs 1920 = Rs 3000

Total quantity = 80 + 120 = 200 kg.

Hence CP per kg = Rs 3000/200 = Rs 15 / kg

In order to make a profit of 20%,

SP = CP + 20% of CP

⇒ SP = 15 + 20% of 15

⇒ SP = 15 + 3

∴ SP = Rs 18 per kg
