As per the data given in the question,

in the above question it is given that,

Given that cost price of chair is Rs. 500

The selling price of chair is Rs. 550.

We have to find the gain percentage.

Here we have to use the formula of gain then the percentage of gain.

Thus gain is equal to selling price minus cost price.

Gain

 = 550 - 500 = 50

The gain is of Rs. 50.

The percentage of gain is,

 \frac{gain}{c.p} \times 100

 = \frac{50}{500} \times 100

 = 10percent

Hence the gain percentage is 10%.
