Given : A shopkeeper bought a dozen of eggs for Rs.100 and sold each egg for Rs. 10.

To Find : profit percentage

Solution:

A shopkeeper bought a dozen of eggs for Rs.100

=> CP = Rs 100

1 Dozen  = 12

Sold Each egg = Rs 10

=> Sold 1 dozen eggs for  = 12 * 10  = Rs 120

SP = Rs 120

Profit = SP - CP  = 120 - 100  = Rs 20

Profit %  = ( Profit / CP ) * 100

=> Profit % = ( 20/100) * 100  = 20 %

Profit percentage is 20 %
