profit =540-480=60
gain percent=profit/CP *100
gain percent=60/480 *100=12.5%

here's your answer !!

A shopkeeper bought a suit case for 480 and sold it for rupees 540 .

C. P. of the suit case is rupees 480 .
S.p. of the suit case is rupees 540 .

Therefore gain is = S. p. - C. p.
= rupees 540 - 480 .
= rupees 60 .

Therefore gain per cent is
= gain / c. p. * 100 %
= 60 / 480 *100 %
= 100 / 8
= 12 . 5 % . (Answer)
