Answer:

Let the cost price of one fan be ₹x and other fan be ₹y

He sold one of them at a loss of 15% and other at a gain of 36%

Hence it's sale price has been 85/100 × x

= 0.85x

Other fan was sold at a profit of 36%.

Hence it's sale price 136/100 × y = 1.36y

He found that each fan was sold for the same price

Thus 0.85 x = 1.36y

x = 1.36y/0.85…Eq..1

Dealer bought two fans for Rs 3120.

It means the cost price of two fans together was ₹3120.

Accordinglyx + y = 3120…Eq..2

Substituting the value if x from Eq.1 to Eq..2

2x + y = 3120

1.36y/0.85 + y = 3120

(1.36y + 0.85y)/0.85 = 31202.21y = 2652

The other fan cost price is ₹1920

The Cost prices of two fans are ₹1200 and ₹1920 respectively
