Since first table was sold at a loss of 15% it will
be 85x/100 and the 2nd one at a profit of 36% it will be 136y/100
As per the problem 85x/100 = 136y/100
Also x + y = 3120 (given)
Solving the two equation we get:
221y = 265200
Therefore y = 1200 and hence x= 1920
Hence the CP of the two tables is Rs 1200 and Rs. 1920.
