A shopkeeper bought two watches for Rs. 400. He sold them to gain 5% profit on one and 5% loss on the other. Calculate his final gain or loss percent, if the selling prices of both watches are the same.

Answer:

Total cost =800

For 1 watch = Loss of 5 percent

So, 95/100*400 =380

For 2nd Watch =105/100*400=420

Therefore total = 380+420=800

Hence, proved there is niether profit nor loss

800=800
