Given:

A shopkeeper buys 10 pair of shoes for Rs. 190 each.

He makes a profit of Rs 300 by selling all of them

To find:

At what price did he sell each pair?

Solution:

The C.P. of each pair of shoes = Rs. 190

∴ The C.P. of 10 pair of shoes = Rs. 190 × 10 = Rs. 1900

The shopkeeper makes a profit of Rs. 300 on the whole transaction

We know the formula as follows:

\boxed{\bold{Profit = S.P. \:- \:C.P. }}

So, by using the formula above, we get

300 = S.P. - 1900

\implies S.P. = 1900 + 300

\implies \bold{S.P. = 2200}the selling price of 10 pair of shoes

∴ S.P. of each pair of shoes = \frac{2200}{10} = \bold{220}

Thus, the shopkeeper sold each of the pair of shoes for → Rs. 220.
