A shopkeeper buys 40 articles for ₹1200 and sells them at a profit of 12% . Find the selling price of an article.

100%= 1200
1%=1200/100= 12
112%= 12× 112=1344 (sp)
so of 1 article= 1344/40=33.6 rs

Hiya here's your answer -

Total CP = 1200 rupees
Article bought = 40
Profit = 12%

SP = (100+12%)/100×1200
= 112×12
=1344 rupees

40 articles = 1344 rupees
Therefore, 1 article = 1344/40
= 33.6 rupees ANS
