A shopkeeper buys ₹50 per ream. At what price per quire should he sell it to gain 20%. ? (Hint. 1 ream = 20 quires)

Solution :

Shopkeeper by Rs. 50 per ream.

Here, 1 rean = 20 quires (given)

So, that means he buy 20 quires at Rs. 50.

1 quire he buy at

\implies\sf{Rs. \frac{50}{20} }

Now, it is asked to gain 20% , so for gaining 20% selling per quire will be

\implies\sf{rs \:  (\frac{50}{20} +  \frac{20}{100}   \times  \frac{50}{20} })

so 2.5 + 0.5 = Rs. 3
