suppose price of TV set is x and music system is y

so 8x+6y = 100000

and 5x+9y = 80000

multiply first equation by 3

multiply second equation by 2 and subtract from first.

24x+18y-10x-18y = 300000-160000

14x = 140000

so x=10000

so price of TV set 100000

let TV set be x and music system be y

given that 8x+6y=100000-------1

also. 5x+9y= 80000--------2

dividing 1st equation by 2

we get, 4x+3y=50000.--------3

multiplying equation 3 by 3

we get. 12x+ 9y=150000 ----------4

from 2 and 4

we get 7x =70000

x =10000

so price of TV set = 10000
