Given:-
A shopkeeper buys 80 articles for ₹ 2,400 and sells them for a profit of 16%.
Find:-
The selling price of one article.
Solution:-
Cost price(C.P)of 80 articles=2400
Cost price(C.P)of 1 article= =30
So,
Cost price(C.P)=₹30
________________
Also,
Profit percentage=16%
Therefore,
×100
16=×100
=Profit
=Profit
Therefore,
Profit=4.8
_____________
Now,
Profit=SP-CP
4.8=SP-30
4.8+30=SP
34.8=SP
Therefore,
SP=34.8
Therefore selling price of 1 article is 34.8₹
