Given :

  • Selling Price = ??

\textsf{\underline{\underline{Cost Price of each article - }}}

Divide the cost of total articles by the number of articles.

\sf{\implies} \:  \dfrac{2400}{80}  \\  \\ \sf{\implies} \: 30

Cost Price of one article = Rs. 30

\rule{300}{1.5}

\textsf{\underline{\underline{Selling Price of each article - }}}

  • Cost Price = 30
  • Profit = 16%

\bigstar \: {\boxed{\sf\:{SP =  \frac{(100 + profit\%)} {100}  \times CP}}}

\sf{\implies} \:SP =   \dfrac{(100 + 16)}{100}  \times 30 \\  \\ \sf{\implies} \:SP =   \dfrac{116}{100}  \times 30 \\  \\ \sf{\implies} \:SP =   \dfrac{116}{10} \times 3  \\ \sf{\implies} \:SP =   \dfrac{348}{10}  \\  \\ \sf{\implies} \:SP =  34.8

\therefore The Selling price of each article is Rs. 34.8

Solution:-

Since CP of 80 articles = Rs 2400

Profit% = 16 %

Profit in terms of use rupess

 = </strong><strong>R</strong><strong>s \: 2400 \times  \frac{16}{100}  \\  \bold \: </strong><strong>R</strong><strong>s \: 384

Since SP = CP + Profit

SP of 80 articles= Rs( 2400+384)

= Rs 2784

SP of one article= Rs 2784/80= Rs 34.8

Hence SP of 1 article is Rs 34.8
