A shopkeeper buys 80 articles for Rupees 2,400 and sell them for a profit of 16%. find the selling price of 1 article

Since CP of 80 articles= Rs 2400


Profit%= 16%


Profit in terms of rupess =2400×16/100

= Rs 384


Since SP = CP + Profit


SP of 80 articles= Rs( 2400+384)

= Rs 2784


SP of one article= Rs 2784/80

= Rs 34.8

Cost paid by shop keeper = 2400/80
= 30 rupees per article
16% of 30 = 16/100×30
= 4.8 rupees
cost of per article is 35 aproximately
