at 1% discount shopkeeper bought the article from  whole seller

Step-by-step explanation:

list price = 30000 Rs

Discount = X %

Discount = (X/100) * 30000 = 300X   Rs

Price after Discount = 30000 - 300X

= 300(100 - X) Rs

12% IGST = (12/100) * 300(100-X) = 36(100 - X)

= 3600 - 36X

Shopkepper sold at = 30000 Rs

IGST = (12/100) * 30000 = 3600 Rs

shopkeepee has  to pay tan (under GST)  = 3600 - ( 3600 - 36X)

= 36X

36X = 36

=> X = 1

the rate of

discount he bought the article from  whole seller = 1 %
