A shopkeeper buys a number of books for Rs.80. If he had bought 4 more books for the same amount each book would cost Rs 1 less. How many books did he buy?​

If he had bought 4 more books for same amount i. e. (x+4)y he would cost Rs 1 less i. e. 80-1=79

xy = 80. ........1

y(x+4)=79........2

y = 80/x. from 1

put value of y in 2

80/x(x+4)=79

80 + 320/x = 79

80x+320/x=79

80x+320=79x

x=-320
