a shopkeeper buys an article for Rs 400 ana marks it for sale at a price that may give him 80% profit on his cost. he,however gives 15% discount on the marked price to his customer.

calculate:

i) the marked price of the article,

ii) the discount in rupees given to the customer,

iii) the actual percentage profit made by the shopkeeper.

first calculate 80% of his price. i.e. 80% of 400. then add it to 400 to get MP. Then find out discount on the MP we just found. And lastly to find proft percent, divide profit by cost price and multiply by 100
