A shopkeeper buys an article for rupees 400 and marks it for sale at a price that may give him 80%profit on his cost. He however gives 15%discount on the marked price to his customer. Find marked price of article​

i) the method price of the article.

ii) the discount in rupees given to the customer,

iii) the actual percentage profit made by the shopkeeper Mark price=400+

80×400

=400+320=720

(2) Discount %=15%

=15×

720

=108

sp=720−108=612

(3) Total profit=sp−cp=612−400=212

Profit =

400

212

×100=53℅
