Given:-

  • Selling price of wheat = 110/100 × 40 = 44

  • Selling price for rice = 108/100 × 50 = 54

  • The ratio of the amounts of rice to wheat is : Rice : Wheat = 3 : 4

Solution:-

Let x be the total amount of rice and wheat.

 \sf \: The \:  amount  \: of  \: rice =  \dfrac{3}{7}x

 \sf \: Wheat =  \dfrac{4}{7}x

{ \bigstar{ \underline{According \:  to \:  the  \: question,}}}

 \sf \: Total  \: no.  \: of  \: sales :-

 \sf \implies \: ( \frac{3}{7}x   \times  54) + ( \frac{4}{7}x  \times  44) =  \frac{338}{7}x  \\ \sf \implies \: \frac{338}{7}x  = 33800 \\\sf \implies \: x = 33800 \times  \frac{7}{338}  \\\sf \implies \: x = 700

 \sf \: Amount  \: of  \: rice :-

  \sf \implies \: \dfrac{3}{7}  \times700  \\ \sf \implies \:300

\thereforeShopkeeper bought 300kg rice.
