Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Selling price of wheat = 110/100 × 40 = 44

Selling price for rice = 108/100 × 50 = 54

The ratio of the amounts of rice to wheat is :

Rice : Wheat

3 : 4

Let the total amount of rice and wheat be x

The amount of rice = 3/7x

Wheat = 4/7x

The total sales will be :

(3/7x × 54) + (4/7x × 44) = 338/7x

338/7x = 33800

x = 33800 × 7/338

X = 700

The amount of rice is :

3/7 × 700 = 300

# Answer - 300kg rice

# Solution-

Lets consider shopkeeper buy x kg rice and y kg wheat.

For rice

Price for 1kg=50 Profit=8%

So Total rice selling price = 1.08×50x

For wheat

Price for 1kg=40 Profit=8%

So Total rice selling price = 1.1×40y

Also x:y=3:4

Hence x=3y/4

Now make equation for selling everything

33800=1.08×50x+1.1×40y

33800=54x+44y

33400=54×3y/4+44y

33800=40.5y+44y

y=33800/84.5

y=400

x=3×400/4

x=300

Shopkeeper bought 300kg rice.
