A shopkeeper buys room cooler at rs. 1200 each. Due to depressed market conditions he sells them at 15% loss. Find the selling price of each cooler​

we \: know \: that \:

 loss \:  =  \frac{cp \:  - sp \: }{cp}  \times 100

therefore \\ 15 =  \frac{1200 - sp}{1200}  \times 100

15 =  \frac{1200 - sp}{12 \: }

1200 - sp \:  = 15 \times 12

1200 - sp \:  = 180

sp \:  = 1200 - 180

sp \:  = 1020

hence \: proved
