1 ream = 20 quires . Cost price= Rs 50 . Given : Gain = 20 % . Selling Price = 2.5 + 0.5 = 3

.... or...

A shopkeeper buys rupees 50 per ream

And 1 ream  = 20 quires

So ,

Price of 20 quires =  Rs 50

Then

Price of 1 quires = 5020  =  2.5

So , Selling price per quires  =  2.5  +  20% of 2.5   =  2.5   + 20 × 2.5100 =  2.5 + 2.55 =  2.5 + 0.5 =  Rs.  3
